CroptiV8 for Leafy Crops

A revolutionary mode of action for a unique combination of results in growing leafy crops.

On this page, you can find specific information for growers of leafy crops about our innovative solution CroptiV8.

Observations: Field trials – Lettuce

Field trials (from December, 2021 to March, 2022) with lettuce showed that the application of CroptiV8 significantly increases the harvested weight of the final product. An increase of 20% in harvested weight was observed, while root mass increased with almost 23%.

The amount of unmarketable crops also decreased with 38% after application of CroptiV8. Unmarketable crops decreased from 4.4% to 2.7% after application. The application of CroptiV8 also resulted in crops with lower salt contents and increased hardiness of leaves.

Observations: Improved quality and yields

During field trials, partially in conjunction with a Dutch independent Research Organization, CroptiV8 was used for seed and young plant treatment in lettuce. The same trial design was done with Bok Choy at a grower field, showing similar results: the trial showed up to 10% more germination, healthier crop, and 11% more biomass (bok-choy 13%).

Young Plants

The following results were seen at several independent research institutes and at grower fields in various countries.

Observation 4 weeks after seeding: increase of 8% successful germination with CroptiV8 treatment, compared to benchmark inputs.

Observation 4 weeks after seeding: increase of 10.5% biomass (weight in grams) with CroptiV8 treatment, compared to untreated plots.

The difference in crop growth between benchmark inputs (l) and CroptiV8 (r) 4 weeks after seeding, accumulated to 27% more crop.

The difference in crop growth between untreated plots (l) and CroptiV8 (r) 4 weeks after seeding, accumulated to 10.5% more crop.

Lettuce

Applying CroptiV8 to newly seeded plants showed an increase in biomass of more than 10%.

Bok Choy

Field trials with bok choy resulted in an increase of the average crop weight of more than 13%.
